I’m really excited to share this unique play along project for my 2020 album All Figured Out! Included in this project is the digital sheet music for all 9 tunes on the album, as well as 9 play along tracks that include the entire original recordings MINUS all my featured tenor solos and melodies (and excluding other solos as well), allowing you to “jump into my shoes” and be the star of the show! (Note: To hear the recordings with my original sax parts in the mix, you can purchase the album on my www.derekbrownsax.com website, or stream it elsewhere)

The included digital sheet music contains all my various melodies and intros and outros, as well as the chord progressions for all my improvised solo sections. Additionally you’ll see smaller notes that represent various melody lines and parts played by other instruments, when I was not playing anything on the recordings. This lets you enjoy playing throughout the entire album, saxophone part or not.

Some of my “melodies” for these tunes were entirely improvised (like throughout “Hoping for the Best” and my various solo intros), which is why some parts are some much more advanced than other melodies/parts throughout the album. Of course, always feel free to edit parts or make up your own!
